Anything like a card or letter in an envelope or package is express mailed through the postal system directly to the mission home. A card or letter may take 1-2 weeks to get to the mission home and it may be opened by custom officials. A package no larger than a shoe box is best to mail for delivery in 2-3 weeks. If it is a larger box it may take up to 6 weeks or longer to be delivered. All packages are usually opened and contents examined by the custom officials. To lessen the chances of theft it is best to tape pictures of Jesus on the outside of the box. The box contents will likely be left alone if the package looks religious and it is addressed to a mission.

It is not wise to send money by mail, so all money gifts should be given to my parents and they will see that I receive it.
I cannot write back to everyone especially outside of my immediate family, this is a mission rule, so please know I appreciate all of your letters and emails to me even if I cannot always respond with a personal note.
